Customer Information: Information is collected at the time of a sale in order to complete the sale and deliver the products. Customer lists are not sold or distributed to third parties or used for solicitations.

Credit Card Transactions: Credit card transactions are processed by Authorize.net. This professional payment authorization service was chosen for added security and reliability. Only the purchase price and the credit card information provided by the customer is supplied to Authorize.net. Information collected during transactions is maintained in the Authorize.net database for accounting and billing purposes. Information from these transactions is not released to third parties.

Birth Announcement Information: New Baby News publishes limited information about a newborn with the authorization of the newborn's parent('s) or legal guardian('s). Parental and/or guardian authorizations are secured by client hospitals and birth announcements are maintained on the web for a period of time determined by the hospital.

Baby Book Files: New Baby News provides family, friends and well-wishers the opportunity to offer congratulations to the family via a device that we call the "Baby Book". The Baby Book is a text formatted file generated by the use of an html form. Included in the form are boxes to include the signer's name and email address. Name and email addresses are optional and are included to make it easier for families to correspond with those who sign the baby book. If entered, names and email addresses are publicly displayed on the baby books.

Information About Children: New Baby News does not attempt to collect personal information from children. New Baby News cannot always determine that a user is a child.

Web Site Log Files: Web site log files are generated that show the IP Address of the visitor, date, time, and pages visited. Aggregate reports for web site visitors are generated that do not contain personally identifiable information. The log files are eventually deleted.

Cookies: New Baby News utilizes cookies for two purposes. Internet 'cookies' are used to assist in the downloading of the baby screensaver and to help minimize inappropriate comments being added to the baby book. No Images, files, or cookies are downloaded from third party servers.

Persistent cookies are placed on the user's system when they make an initial entry into a baby book. These cookies remain on the user's system and are automatically retrieved when a user makes an additional entry to a baby book. Users who display a pattern of entering inappropriate comments will be barred from adding future comments.

No Third Party Downloads: No Images, files, or cookies are downloaded from third party servers.

Mailing Lists: New Baby News may maintain mailing lists. Mailing lists are used to provide prior notice to users when a birth announcement is to be removed from publication or to make users aware of special events or offerings. Users are added only by their own opt-in effort to be included in a mailing list.

User Registration: New Baby News sites do not require user registration.

The restrictions on the dissemination of personal information are not subject to change. The policy is updated occasionally but the changes will not reduce the privacy protection of visitors. If there are changes made in the future the changes will not affect information already collected.
